What's New on the Jupiter Dining Scene?

If you don’t already know, Jupiter and the surrounding area offers some of the BEST dining options in South Florida and the Palm Beaches. A few “new kids on the dining block” are making waves and causing a stir.  Check out Crosby Kitchen and Bar, Del Pesto Jupiter, and josc bar & oven. Be warned! Do not read this when hungry!

1406 Cypress Drive, Jupiter

Crosby Kitchen & Bar is an American Brasserie Restaurant with inviting spaces, delicious food and beverage offerings which are all brought to you in a warm, friendly and approachable atmosphere. Open for happy hour and dinner, Crosby is quickly becoming a favorite on Jupiter’s menu of restaurants.

The menu offers something for everyone. Snacks and starters include tequila and smoked lime salt chicharrón, sesame-pork belly bao steam buns, margherita flatbread, and the southern classic, fried green tomatoes with mozzarella. Sweet chili sticky wings, charred baby octopus, roasted oysters, and salmon tartar are also available for appetizers. For the vegetarians, the Mediterranean Plate is a delightful spread of delicacies, as is the roasted beet salad with citrus herb dressing.

Main courses include a gourmet burger with hand-cut fries, eggplant-arugula ricotta ravioli with chicken sausage, veal Milanese, and more. And we’re told, a popular side is “bottom of the pot” rice with crispy rice, burnt pork belly, grilled corn, cauliflower, jalapeno vinegar, pickled radish, and celery salad with a sunny-side-up egg. There’s also an impressive wine and beer list, as well as a fun cocktail menu to round out your experience.

157 N. US Highway 1, Tequesta

Located between Jupiter and Jupiter Island, josc bar & oven is Tequesta’s newest restaurant featuring dinner and Sunday brunch. Experience modern American-chef inspired cuisine in a contemporary industrial setting. The owners and managers strive (and succeed!) to create an atmosphere with food, drinks, and authentic hospitality that will make you feel like family. Their motto is: “eat, drink, repeat.....josc.”

Start your josc experience with a pineapple kimchi pork belly, chicken tinga tacos, a charcuterie plate, charred octopus, lavender fennel pollen zeppole, or one of their signature salads. The chef is busy each day creating a “pizza of the day” to add to the pizza offerings which include a san marzano margherita pie, and a prosciutto, garlic-confit cream pizza with arugula and olive oil.

Moving on to the main courses, josc doesn’t disappoint. Choose from a seafood pozole verde with clams shrimp, hominy, avocado and lime, pasta dishes, market fish prepared with Sicilian sauce/roasted cauliflower/Florida citrus/celery leaf/radish salad/nomad micro basil, a grilled pork tenderloin, or a New York strip cooked to your liking.

The full bar is funky with an industrial vibe, and will whet your appetite. Why have happy hour, when you can have more than one? Here, you can enjoy 2 hours each day with half-priced drinks and select appetizers on Monday- Friday, from 4-6pm.  And with a “giant cinnamon roll” topped with cream cheese frosting on the menu… you better leave room for dessert!

201 US Highway 1, Jupiter

With its location next to the state-of-the-art movie theatre on US1, Del Pesto invites you to “come abroad and experience Italian cuisine.” They put passion in every flavor, and dedication in every dish! Here, you can indulge in your favorites, as well as original dishes.

The menu offers some fan favorites with a whole lot of flair. An array of pizzas is sure to tickle your taste buds with specialty pies including Buffalo Chicken, Chicken Marsala, Fra Diavlo, Crostino, and Broccoli Rabe. Yes, these are all pizzas!

In addition to pizza rolls, calzone, and Stromboli offerings, there’s pasta!  Pasta selections include favorites like Penne Alla Vodka, Rigatoni Bolognese, Pasta Carbonara, and Tri-Color Tortellini. And, diners are sure to be tantalized by Spaghetti Alla Mamma with fresh tomato and basil sauce, ricotta,  and meatballs and Cousin’s Favorite with roasted whole garlic. The baked pastas on the menu sound delicious as well with such favorites as Baked Ravioli, Lasagna, Eggplant Parmigiana, and Baked Ziti.

After all we are in Florida, so you can select from one of the seafood dishes including Linguine with Clams, shrimp prepared in a few different ways, salmon, and Zuppa Di Pesce.

Of course, you can begin your meal with an array of antipasti and appetizers or one of the salads on the menu such as Chopped Tuscan or Roasted Pear & Walnut. Kids Meals and a few Italian desserts round out the menu and complete your Italian adventure.
