Complexions Contemporary Ballet: Star Dust from Bach to David Bowie
Founded by members of Alvin Ailey, Complexions Contemporary Ballet innovatively mixes styles of ballet, contemporary, and hip hop with technique and power in its performances. The company has been featured numerous times on the popular show “So You Think You Can Dance,” and is excited to bring a dynamic program set to music from Bach to David Bowie to West Palm Beach.
Miami City Ballet: Don Quixote
The Kravis Center is proud to showcase Miami City Ballet’s exquisite classical performances. Don Quixote is a fully staged production inspired by Miguel Cervantes' renowned novel. With a fantastic Minkus score, lavish costumes, and colorful characters, the show is truly unforgettable. And, don’t miss out on Miami City Ballet’s other showcases at the Kravis Center, including Slaughter on Tenth Avenue, I’m Old Fashioned, and Firebird.
Ballet Palm Beach: Cinderella
Audiences of all ages can enjoy the classic love story of rags to riches in Ballet Palm Beach’s Cinderella. Revel in the stepsisters’ evil antics, the Fairy Godmother’s magic, and Cinderella’s radiance as she finds her prince charming. The company will also take the stage next February with a mixed repertory program, Swept Away.
Orchester Wiener Akademie (Vienna Academy Orchestra)
Originally founded by organist and director Martin Haselböck, this association is internationally recognized for its diverse repertoire and passionate performances. Audience members will be won over by the orchestra's masterworks of early Vienna. Be sure to arrive early for the “Beyond the Stage” pre-concert talks that provide background information about the music and musicians.
BélO
BélO is hailed as Haiti’s music ambassador to the world, and is performing an eclectic mix of jazz, rock, and reggae music. His acclaimed albums have attracted the attention of countries all over the world. Experience his one-of-a-kind sounds and compositions, premiering at the Kravis Center this October.
This year, the hit series Kravis on Broadway features seven top-touring musicals that will take you on an exhilarating adventure. The lineup includes Fiddler on the Roof, The Play that Goes Wrong, A Bronx Tale, Miss Saigon, Come from Away, Summer the Donna Summer Musical, and, of course, the long-awaited Lin-Manuel Miranda smash-hit Hamilton! In addition, the Kravis Center is breaking ground on a $50 million expansion project to transform into an even brighter beacon for Palm Beach County.
