John’s extensive and varied work experience gives him a distinct advantage in the real estate business – he can analyze situations from many different perspectives and guide clients to a successful result. John started his professional career as a high school social studies teacher. He then sold radio advertising for one of the top broadcast stations in Chicago, became a key member of the sales and management organization of an IT consulting company that was recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of the fastest growing companies in the U.S., and then co-owned a digital imaging company. But it was the acquisition more than 16 years ago of the historic Prairie Farmer Publishing Building in Chicago that ignited John’s love for real estate. As the Managing Partner of JWG L.P., he spent the next seven years improving the building’s profitability until it was sold in 2003. His penchant for real estate firmly established, John joined a subsidiary of Homes Services of America, a Berkshire Hathaway Co., as a licensed Realtor and obtained certifications as a Corporate Mobility Specialist (CMS) and a Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR). He is a recipient of the prestigious Ruby Medallion and Sapphire Medallion awards from Koenig & Strey Real Living.
Over the years, John has developed a diverse client network that includes sellers and buyers in the luxury, second home, commercial, investor and first time buyer markets. To John, client service is all about being a trusted advisor, skilled negotiator, and expert facilitator.
