Celebrating the Holidays in the Palm Beaches, Florida

Holiday Lights at CityPlace in West Palm Beach, Florida

In the Palm Beaches for the holidays? You’re one of many who makes Florida their travel destination for the winter. Not to mention the seasonal residents who find South Florida as their retreat from the bitterly cold North. And we totally get it. Warm sunny days, soft sandy beaches, cool wind breeze...and that’s just the beginning. The beautiful weather in South Florida makes it possible to do anything and yes, that means in the winter too.

Many travelers fall over the balmy winters and the relaxed atmosphere of Palm Beach County that they make it a quest to find a home here. We know because we’ve worked with many here at Tauber Real Estate Services. And it’s no trouble to us since there are plenty of stunning, luxurious homes from Palm Beach to Jupiter Island. But you don’t have to take our word for it. See for yourself. Check out the vast things to do during the holidays in the Palm Beaches.

Boating

So you scored big with Santa this year and he left you a nice boat. Well, what’s holding you up? The weather? Not down here. Go take it for a ride! And while you’re sailing the ocean blue, dock your boat at Guanabanas in Jupiter for an early dinner. They have an impeccable happy hour, great food and fun atmosphere to boot!

Golfing

The Palm Beaches is known for their upscale golf courses, including private golf communities such as The Loxahatchee Club and Trump National Golf Club both in Jupiter. Other private communities are Old Marsh Golf Club, Old Palm Golf Club, Mirasol and BallenIsles in Palm Beach Gardens. Palm Beach Gardens’ nickname is the ‘golf capital of world’. In fact, it has more golf courses than any other county in America. And if you love golf, you’ll love the opportunity to play all year round.

Enjoy the relaxing beach scenery along the Palm Beach Par 3 Golf Course. The quiet tropical paradise of Jupiter Dunes Golf Course, the five acclaimed golf courses at the PGA National Golf Club and Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, which is also the home of The Honda Classic golf tournament. These are over 40 public golf courses in the Palm Beaches! It pays to live here if you love to golf!

Beachin’ It

Ever been to the beach on New Year’s? In the Palm Beaches, it’s a great way to say goodbye to the year and welcome a new one and, of course, you have options! Take in the peaceful natural surroundings of Singer Island or walk along the Juno Beach Pier to capture the picturesque six-mile stretch of Juno Beach. Dog lovers can bring their furry companions to Jupiter Beach, as dogs are welcomed!

A must see spectacle on West Palm Beach’s downtown waterfront is Sandi Land with a light show and Christmas tree made out of sand that stands a staggering 35 feet tall. It’s located at 100 N. Clematis Street with a light show starting at 6:15pm every night until New Year’s!

Shopping/Spas

Locals, if you haven’t gone to the new West Palm Beach GreenMarket yet, it’s a must! With over 80 vendors providing fresh produce, exotic flowers, baked goods and much more, it’s a perfect way to start your morning every Saturday!

And what’s not to love about CityPlace located at 700 Rosemary Avenue in West Palm Beach? This is a year-round beautiful outdoor mall where you’ll find all your favorite stores, elegant spas, and fun restaurants and bars. But during the holidays, it’s turned into a winter wonderland. Enjoy live music, holiday train rides, nightly snowfall, and an outdoor ice skating rink! There’s also Chanukah Family Fun Fest on December 27 from 4pm-8pm. You can literally spend an entire day here.

After you’ve worked up an appetite from world-class shopping in the Palm Beaches, you won’t have to drive anywhere to find a nice place to eat. If you’re at Downtown at the Gardens, grab a light and fluffy delicious crepe at Paris in Town Le Café or bite into the most delicious steak you’ve ever had at The Capital Grille in Legacy Place. There’s also Spoto’s Oyster Bar & Bluepoint Lounge, at the PGA Commons, that’s always serving up fresh seafood. Downtown Abacoa also has a few tasty cuisines in its quaint neighborhood where you can work, live, and play. Perhaps you’ll spot Tiger Woods at his restaurant, The Woods at Harbourside Place in Jupiter.

If you’re a local, you most likely know about the ever-changing shows at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts on 701 Okeechobee Blvd in West Palm Beach. Every week there is something new and they’re kicking off the New Year with a classic - Dirty Dancing!

Harbourside Place in Jupiter is another popular attraction with Palm Beach area residents. It’s located on a beautiful waterfront setting and there’s always an event happening every night. Get into the holiday spirit by listening to a choir sing-off, on December 16, or watching the hysterical holiday comedy Elf, on December 23, at the Harbourside Place Amphitheater.
