Robin Williams once said, “Spring is nature’s way of saying, ‘Let’s Party!’” and happily, there are many ways to do that in the Palm Beaches.
Even though the Northern Palm Beaches are considered the ‘golf capital of the world’, our communities offer a wide range of activities. The area offers many public courses for all skill levels and to name a few, North Palm Beach Country Club or the Abacoa Golf Club, or a Par 3 game at Jupiter Dunes or in Palm Beach. In addition to playing golf, enjoy our beautiful beach parks, such as Carlin Park in Jupiter or Loggerhead Park in Juno Beach.
Carlin Park offers activities for all ages and all interests, including bocce, tennis, volleyball, softball, and a wide range of picnic options, such as picnic pavilions, shaded picnic shelters with grills, and multiple playgrounds to entertain the kids.
Loggerhead Park features the Loggerhead Marinelife Center, which nurses injured sea turtles, all of them rescued along the Florida coast. The park also offers a nature trail, picnic areas, and play areas.
In the alternative, consider one of our public fishing venues or head out into the ocean in one of our public or private fishing charters. The 990-foot Juno Beach Pier, for example, offers scenic saltwater fishing without setting foot on the water. The Pier House not only rents fishing poles and bait, guests also have access to a well-stocked snack bar and gift store. Some residents or visitors fish off our sandy shores, simply pulling up a chair, and casting out into our clear blue waters.
Interested in a sea-faring adventure? Blue Heron Fishing and Black Dog Fishing Charter, both launching out of the Jupiter Inlet, offer deep sea fishing with the latest in navigation and fish finding equipment. Enjoy the sun and the pungent salt water breeze while you cast your line in the hopes of catching Amberjack, Cobia, Red Snapper, Grouper, Marlin or Swordfish.
We recognize some of our visitors and residents prefer more strenuous activities, and the Palm Beaches offer many opportunities for those interested in staying fit and active. Kayaking, paddle boarding, scuba diving, surfing, kite surfing, and skimboarding are offered along the coast of the Palm Beaches, with many venues offering equipment rental or purchase, lessons or guides, and other amenities.
After an activity-filled day, relax in one of our many waterfront bars or restaurants. Located off Love Street in Jupiter, for example, take a walking tour of Guanabanas, U-Tiki and the Square Grouper Tiki Bar.
Guanabanas, which originally opened as a surfers’ sandwich shop, offers open-air waterfront dining for lunch and dinner seven days a week in an island atmosphere, with tiki huts, banyan trees, and nightly musical entertainment. Breakfast is served on Saturdays and Sundays.
U-Tiki Beach, located off the Jupiter Beach Inlet Marina, offers fresh seafood and cocktails for dinner seven days a week and serves lunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The restaurant provides guests with a clear view of the boat slips in the Marina.
Daily and nightly entertainment is available at the Square Grouper Tiki Bar, the locale for numerous music videos, including Alan Jackson’s “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.” Offering live music and a view of the Jupiter Inlet and lighthouse, the bar offers a self-serve menu and a full bar.
