Current and Future Development Activity in Jupiter

Do you ever pass a construction site and wonder what is being worked on? Find out what is happening around town with this overview of development projects. Local projects listed include those under review, those approved and those under construction.

1.  Autozone
Retail auto parts store (7,381 sq. ft.) on 1.3 acre property. Under construction. 

2.  Barcelona (formerly Whitehaven Mobile Home Park)
A commercial site plan for 3 buildings consisting of a medical office (31,700 sq. ft.), fast food outlet (4,008 sq. ft.), restaurant (4,500 sq. ft.) and retail (1,725 sq. ft.) on 4 acres. 351 residential apartment units were also part of this project and have already been completed. Under construction.  

3.  Center Park Storage
A proposal for a planned unit development to include an office, warehouse and self-storage at 114 Datura Street, an 11.6 acre parcel located at the southwest corner of Center Street and Alternate A1A. Under review.

4.  Chick-fil-A
Removal of the existing 8,000 sq. ft. restaurant and construction of a 4,600 sq. ft. fast food restaurant. Under review.

5.  Cinebowl
A proposal for a 71,693 sq. ft. building that will include 12 theaters and 1,077 theater seats, 20 bowling lanes and a restaurant (8,311 sq. ft. with 2,050 sq. ft. of outdoor seating) within Abacoa Town Center. Under review.

6.  Cinquez Park
Community park including open space, a tot lot and a dog park. Approved. Construction expected to begin in spring 2017.

7.  Circle K
Redevelopment and expansion of a gas station and convenience store. Under review.

8. Cornerstone
15 residential units, 2700 sq. ft. of commercial, and a floating dock with 20 slips. Under review.

9.  CVS at Sonoma
Retail drug store (14,750 sq. ft.). Under construction.

10.  Fishermans Wharf
36 residential units, a clubhouse, private dock and research and development parcel. Under review.

11.  FPL Service Center
Site plan amendment application to replace the existing 6,827 sq. ft. office building with a two-story office building that is 25,496 sq. ft. and constructed to withstand a category 5 hurricane. Under review.    

12. Furry Friends
Site plan application to construct a 14,820 sq.ft. building for animal adoptions and veterinary services in the Jupiter Commerce Center. Under review.

13. Institute for Healthy Living
Nursing care and assisted living facility, including a medical clinic and research facility. Under construction.

14. “1,000 North” Restaurant at Jupiter Harbor
Demolition of the existing building to build a restaurant, “1,000 North,” and add office space. Plans also include increased outdoor seating, the addition of transient boat slips and a future connection to the Jupiter Riverwalk. Under construction.

15. Jupiter Medical and Technology Park
Two-story medical and office building (50,000 sq. ft.) and a two-story parking garage on 15.9 acre property. Approved. Construction start date to be determined.

16. Kempe Phase II
A mixed-use, small-scale development that includes office, restaurant, retail and 6 residential units. Approved. Construction start date to be determined.

17. Love Street and A1A Property
A proposal for a planned unit development to include retail (40,512 sq. ft.), restaurant (17,051 sq. ft.), fast food outlet (1,000 sq. ft.), a club/catering hall (25,311 sq. ft.) and office space (1,204 sq. ft.). Approved. Construction start date to be determined.

18. 114 West Indiantown Road Office Building
Construction of a 2,000 sq. ft. office building. Approved. Construction start date to be determined.

19. Sonama Isles (Lakewood)
275 residential units, bioscience/high tech (150,000 sq. ft.), restaurant (5,000 sq. ft.) and drugstore (14,750 sq. ft.). Under construction.

20.  Water Pointe
Site plan application for the construction of 35 multi-family residential units on 4.2 acres located on the west side of U.S. Highway 1, approximately 850 feet north of the intersection of U.S. 1 and Ocean Way. Under review.
