Where else can you jog through waterfront streets without worrying about layering clothes or icy roads? The Palm Beaches’ pristine beaches, miles of waterways, and scenic trails double as some of the most picturesque running courses. Don’t miss out on registration for two of Palm Beach County’s most popular races of the year!
Run 4 the Pies
This local Thanksgiving Day race is exactly what it sounds like! Every registrant in the annual Run 4 the Pies tradition will receive a holiday pie at the finish line. This year marks the 19th year of the race, where over 1,500 runners pre-burn their Thanksgiving calories on a 4-mile run through Tequesta. In addition to fresh baked apple pies, runners will be awarded with finisher medals and long sleeve tech shirts. The post-race party also features food, refreshments, music, and an awards ceremony. The race is organized by the Palm Beach Road Runners and proceeds support the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd's Food Pantry. Click here to register for the event.
The FITTEAM Palm Beaches Marathon
In the Palm Beaches, this is not just a marathon – it is a weekend-long event returning December 6th-8th! The FITTEAM Palm Beaches Marathon presented by Jupiter Medical consists of a marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, a 10K and a 5K, but that is just the start. This year’s race routes spotlight even more of the West Palm waterfront than in years past, and all the events start and finish near the Meyer Amphitheatre on Flagler Drive.
The event will kick off Friday with 5K and 10K glow races on tree-lighted courses along the Intracoastal Waterway. The events end in front of the Sandi tree, the world’s only 35-foot, 700-ton, holiday sand tree! Runners are encouraged to wear glow bracelets and necklaces in addition to their brightest neon outfit. This fun atmosphere will continue throughout the race weekend.
The three-day experience will allow runners and their families to explore and enjoy everything Palm Beach County has to offer. Throughout the weekend there will be parties, live music, and fireworks. Click to here to register.
