Batter Up!
Spring Training in Jupiter!
Baseball fans of all ages love Jupiter in March! The St. Louis Cardinals and the Miami Marlins share the posh confines of Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, part of an impressive sports complex that accommodates both teams and their Class A minor-league affiliates.
The teams share the main stadium where the games are played. However, the teams have their own practice fields, outdoor batting cages, several pitching mounds, clubhouses, and state-of-the-art conditioning rooms.
Baseball action is up close and personal with a great view from every seat. The 7,000-seat stadium features luxury sky-box seating, permanent seating, parking, and concessions. And, spring training practice fields are open to the public, so you can watch your favorite players warm up and get ready for the big game.
Did you know?
The Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium complex is the only stadium in the country to host four minor league teams:
* Jupiter Hammerheads of the Class A-Advanced Baseball Florida State League
* Palm Beach Cardinals of the Class A-Advanced Baseball Florida State League
* Gulf Coast Marlins of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League
* Gulf Coast Cardinals of the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League
The Marlins and the Cardinals share the main stadium where the games are played. However, the teams have their own practice fields, outdoor batting cages, several pitching mounds, and state-of-the-art conditioning rooms.
In September 2012, the stadium hosted the qualifying round for the 2013 World Baseball Classic. Spain, France, Israel, and South Africa took part in the qualifier.
Location
The stadium and complex boast a perfect location in Abacoa in Jupiter. Dubbed as a “live, work, play” planned community, it’s the perfect place to hang out before or after the game. Downtown Abacoa has an old “Main Street” charm, classic design, and a relaxed atmosphere giving this Jupiter destination a true “community” vibe.
Home to some of the area’s best shopping, dining, entertainment and professional businesses, the newly renovated Downtown Abacoa has become a fan favorite. Whether you’re looking for a cold beer before the game, a hibachi dinner, or a round of miniature golf after…Abacoa’s got you covered.
